Twin-fiddle-driven Celtadelic Fusion Music’ is what this astonishing five-piece band delivers, and if the Christmas shopping is driving you insane, what better than bopping yourselves to a standstill to one of the UK’s premier folk-rock/dance/festival outfits? The band comes to the Talbot as part of their tour supporting the new CD ‘Ten Leagues Beyond the Wild World’s End’.
Fronted by the sensational twin electric fiddles of vocalist Liz Prendergast and Debs Peake, the band is led by drummer Nic Waulker. New guitarist Neil Browning adds squeeze-boxes, lute, banjo and crumhorn, and Rob Khoo provides spatial funky bass. Starting out where others fear to tread, the band’s music is a genuine hybrid, using traditional Celtic elements with wild contemporary rhythms and classic rock interludes.
Over six years on the road, Bluehorses have stunned festival audiences from Glastonbury to Spain via Denmark, Luxembourg, Holland, Belgium, and beyond. For sheer musical excitement and visual impact, they are quite simply unrivalled, and we guarantee that you will be knocked out-Bluehorses are the perfect climax to our 2001 series of gigs.
