After a three year gap, tonight features a return visit for this powerhouse six-piece. To those of you unfamiliar with them, K-Passa are an exuberant folk-rock outfit with the same stability of personnel that marks out the likes of Fleetwood Mac or the Albion Band. The band now features what Simon Edwards - singer, squeezebox maestro and principal songwriter - describes as "the ultimate line-up." To be specific, that means Edwards himself, Rob Allen on guitar and vocals, Mark Knight (fiddle), Stu Edwards (bass), Jeff France (drums) and Emma Hughes, also on vocals.
Primal energy is what K-Passa generate whenever they step out onto the stage to play "live". The grassroots response to their fiery performances has garnered this UK-based folk/roots/rock band a huge audience following across Europe and the UK. Driven by the brilliant squeeze box playing of Simon Edwards and the madcap fiddling of Mark Knight, K~Passa fuse Celtic folk and rock into a formidable hybrid guaranteed to whip up any crowd into an excited frenzy.
