Two experienced improvisors : Pete Stacey on saxophone & Ajijo on bass combine in this experimental duo. Playing a variety of original compositions interspersed with numbers by, amongst others, Bill Evans and Charlie Mingus, their focus is on exploring the interplay of melody and bass without the traditional harmonic & rhythmic safety nets of piano or drums.

Exploring rhythms of the Samba street bands - suitable for anyone wishing to get a taste of playing this exciting rhythmic music. With its emphasis on the interplay of simple rhythmic patterns the workshop will be geared to give both complete beginners and those with some experience an opportunity to develop their rhythmic skills.

Children will be able to learn how to use different art materials to create and take home something special.
Each workshop lasts approx. 1 hour and entry is £1.
(Lindsay is an art teacher and local craftworker who specializes in stained glass.)

Artists give their thoughts and feelings about the world shaped as paintings or sculptures. In these workshops we will look at the paintings in the exhibition and try to give shape to our thoughts and feelings about the paintings in stories and poems.
